Our next Deep Dive, we're bringing together sake, food, and a shared spirit of adventure for a special evening at Birdsong. This edition features Jake Burdick of BŌKEN Sake and Chef Michael Kang of MiShi, each sharing the journey behind what they create.

In Japanese, bōken (冒険) means “adventure”, a fitting theme for an evening that brings together three unique journeys around one table.
BŌKEN Sake has been finding its way onto more and more tables around DC, and for our next Deep Dive, we're excited to get to know the story behind the bottles.
Join Jake Burdick of BŌKEN and Chef Michael Kang of MiShi for an intimate Deep Dive evening! Taste four (4) BŌKEN sakes as Jake shares the story behind these beautiful sakes. Alongside them, enjoy bite-sized izakaya-style dishes from Chef Michael, who is in the middle of his own bōken with a pop-up at Birdsong. Mix, match, and enjoy discovering your own favorite combinations!
Hosting us is Birdsong, known for its modern approach to Thai cuisine rooted in tradition and elevated with creativity, which has generously opened its doors to this collaboration while on an adventure of its own.

October is Sake Month, and we're keeping the celebration going at DC Sake cō! We're especially excited that this will be our first event in the Chevy Chase neighborhood, and we can't wait to Kanpai with you!
