Crafted by Master Distiller Kimio Yonezawa at the Kaikyō Distillery, 135 East is a London Dry-style gin built on a foundation of juniper, angelica, and coriander, then layered with a distinctly Japanese botanical bill: sencha green tea, yuzu, shiso leaf, ume, and sansho pepper. Distilled from 100% grain neutral spirit and finished with a touch of sake, each botanical is distilled separately using a vacuum distillation process — similar to techniques used in perfumery — to preserve the delicate, true-to-source aromatics of every ingredient before they're blended together. The nose opens juniper-forward, quickly joined by bright yuzu and lime, layered with cedarwood, sansho pepper's tingling spice, and grassy shiso. On the palate, that same citrus brightness carries through, softened by a touch of green tea sweetness and rounded out with earthy, herbaceous depth, before finishing clean and long with lingering pink-peppercorn zing and a dry, citrus-tinged fade. Bottled at 40–42% ABV depending on market.

ABOUT THE NAME
The gin takes its name from the 135th meridian east — the line of longitude that runs directly through Akashi City in Hyogo Prefecture, home to the Kaikyō Distillery. It's a fitting name for a spirit built on the meeting point of two traditions: classic London Dry structure and Japan's centuries-old botanical pantry.
