The second vintage dated and the fourth Single Malt release from Tsunuki since the distillery reopened in 2016. Peated and bottled at 50% ABV, as were the last two releases. The 2023 has the addition of about 10% exSherry barrels for maturation. About MARS TSUNUKI DISTILLERY: The original location of Mars’s whisky production and even the family home. Despite the personal heritage, the site was chosen as a complimentary second distillery to Mars Shinshu for its opposite climate. Close to sea level, and with humid summers and cold winters, Tsunuki produces whisky with a significantly deeper and more energetic profile. With the reopening of Tsunuki, it is once again, Japan’s Southernmost distillery.
