Nakao Brewery, established in 1871 in Takehara, Hiroshima, believes that human connections remain a significant key to sake brewing. Their natural conditions had proven most ideal for both salt production and rice cultivation – long hours of sunshine and minimal amounts of precipitation. With this, they remain committed to using their Takehara-grown Omachi rice. The brewery emphasizes that “an obsession with details is [our] biggest asset.” The brand is referred to as “beloved Hiroshima sake created by [our] founder.”
