Description
The Hakkasian Brewery was established in 1902. The three major points of their philosphy includes “dignity, wide supply, and land.” The brewery strives to make premium sake that is accessible in reasonable quantities as sake is considered “a gift from the heaven.” At the foot of Mount Hakkaisan in Niigata prefecture, the land’s features enable the brewery to use pure snow as brewing water with slight filtering from the mountain’s soil. A visitor once remarked this land as “God’s creation – a land for sake making.”
