Description

The Dewazakura Sake Brewery was founded in 1892 by Seijiro Nakano, whose family owned another brewery (Kuma Masamune Sake Brewery). Dewazakura is located in Tendo City, where the features include polarized temperatures and high mountains. This climate allows the production of locally-grown rice, which is used in the brewery’s sake that is crafted manually and in selective quantities. The brewery was one of the first to market the word “ginjo,” which at the time, was jargon for sake brewers and not customers.
