Description
IWC (International Wine Challenge) 2021 Normal Sake Category Silver Medal Winner! Choryo’s “Yoshinosugi no Tarusake” was born in 1964 as Japan’s first “bottled tarusake” that encapsulates the deliciousness provided from cedar barrel in a bottle. Junmai and namazake are hard to make into barrel sake, but the experience of the Choryu Shuzo brewery have made it possible. The slightly sweet flavor is enhanced by cedar nuances that give it a refreshing and cool sensation. Overall, the oak element is not strong and is only slightly noticeable, but this makes it pleasant to drink and easy to enjoy. This sake goes well with light and simple flavored dishes. It is recommended to drink chilled for a refreshing drink or on the rocks.
