Just steps away from Japan Village in Industry City is Brooklyn Kura, an innovative American Craft Sake brewery that is changing the perception of sake and making it more accessible. A visit to their industrial tap room offers a unique view of the tops of the large tanks where one might even witness a brewery worker stirring the mash! The sake is brewed right in New York City with high-quality ingredients and an approach that is respective of tradition and a youthful spirit. In 2021, Brooklyn Kura entered a long-term partnership with Hakkaisan Brewery based in Niigata Prefecture, and both look forward to a bright future of new and exciting possibilities for sake.
