This Cowboy Yamahai Sake has a tinge of acidity that is rare in conventional sakes and it has a slightly high alcohol level that cleanses the palate of meat fat. The nose is smoky, oaky, with notes of sweet rice. Being Junmai Ginjo it’s round and refined on the finish, but undeniably masculine and broad. And welcome to a super full-bodied sake that appeals to rich red wine drinkers.
